The challenge

Where things stood.

This NDA-protected client sells home and building products online — a deep catalog of considered, high-ticket purchases where buyers compare for weeks and many still want to see the product in a showroom before committing. Scaling that with ads is a feed problem as much as a media problem: thousands of SKUs with different margins competing for the same budget, Shopping campaigns rewarding whatever happens to convert cheapest, and a showroom channel whose real value — visitors who walk in and close at very high rates — was invisible to the platforms.

The approach

How it got fixed.

  1. 01

Make the product feed the engine

Rebuilt the Merchant Center feed as the foundation — clean titles, categories, attributes and product-level margin data — so Google Shopping and Performance Max had accurate signals to scale against, SKU by SKU, instead of averaging the whole catalog.

  2. 02

Scale with feed-led PMax and Shopping structure

Structured Performance Max and Shopping around product categories and profitability tiers, feeding budget to the segments that earned it and holding the blended account to a hard ROAS floor as spend scaled.

  3. 03

Run Meta catalog as the second engine

Paired Google with Meta catalog and dynamic campaigns — prospecting on the ranges people browse for, then retargeting carts and viewed products — so the long consideration window kept compounding instead of leaking.

  4. 04

Treat showroom visits as the highest-value conversion

Built dedicated showroom-visit campaigns around local, high-intent demand and measured them in GA4 alongside online revenue. Because a customer who walks into the showroom closes at a very high rate, this channel became the account's most profitable objective — worth 30–40x every dollar put behind it.

The results

What changed.

A blended e-commerce engine averaging 9–12x ROAS on online sales — with showroom-visit campaigns compounding to 30–40x, because a visitor who walks in almost always walks out a customer.
