SEO specialist in United States
A US business competes in a search market split by state, city and even zip code, so SEO there is mostly a question of which pages answer which local search. I am an SEO specialist working remotely from India, and I have run campaigns for clients in the USA. I handle technical SEO, on-page work, Google Business Profiles, structured data and tracking, with calls arranged in my evening or early morning.
Based in India and working remotely: no office in United States, and video calls at times that suit you. The US spans several zones. Eastern is UTC-5 in winter and UTC-4 in summer (daylight saving runs from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November), which puts it 10 hours 30 minutes behind India in winter and 9 hours 30 minutes in summer. Central is 11:30 or 10:30 behind and Pacific 13:30 or 12:30 behind. So 9:00 Eastern is 19:30 or 18:30 for me, and 9:00 Pacific is 22:30 or 21:30. There is no shared office hour: calls fall in my evening or early morning, and I say so up front.
Search engine optimisation (SEO) for United States businesses
Time is the first practical point. Eastern time is 9 hours 30 minutes or 10 hours 30 minutes behind me and Pacific 12 hours 30 minutes or 13 hours 30 minutes, depending on daylight saving, so there is no shared office hour. My approach is written-first: audits come as documents with screenshots, fixes arrive as developer-ready tickets, and a weekly or fortnightly call is booked in my evening, which is your morning. I have no office in the US and do not pretend otherwise. For most American small businesses that is not a handicap, because local search rewards your real premises, service area and reviews, and those facts come from you. Day-to-day questions are answered in writing the same day, so nothing waits for a call.
The next layer is how a US site is built to be found. Roofers, HVAC firms and plumbers usually need a page per service and a page per city actually served, each with details a competitor cannot copy, such as local permit habits, typical housing stock and real project photos. Swapping the city name on a template produces thin pages that Google ignores, so I write each one differently and link them sensibly. Law firms and medical practices have extra constraints: state bar rules on testimonials and claims, and HIPAA considerations on what forms and tags may pass to analytics or ad platforms. I flag these and leave the legal decision to your counsel. Where Spanish-speaking customers are a large part of the area, a properly built Spanish page, not an auto-translation, is often the quickest gain.
Measurement in the US has become harder because of browser privacy changes and consent rules in states such as California, so I set up GA4 and Tag Manager carefully, with consent handling that matches your privacy notice under CCPA and CPRA. Many US leads call, so call tracking and Google Business Profile call data are reported with form leads. Accessibility is also a live issue under the Americans with Disabilities Act, so I check contrast, headings and form labels against WCAG while I audit speed and structure, and report anything that needs a developer. Reviews on Google and Yelp are reviewed too, because they often decide which business receives the call. Payment is by ACH, wire or card against an invoice.

- The US spans several zones. - How projects there are usually paid
- US businesses usually pay by ACH transfer, wire or card against an invoice, often on net-15 or net-30 terms. SEO specialist in United States: questions
Calls are booked in my evening, which falls in your morning, and most work is delivered in writing with screenshots and tickets, so nothing depends on a shared office hour.
Only for cities you really serve, and each page must carry its own facts and photos. Pages that differ only by the city name are thin, so I write them differently or leave them out.
I keep claims and testimonials restrained and limit what forms and tags send to analytics, then flag questions for your attorney or compliance lead, because I do not give legal advice.
In areas with many Spanish speakers, often yes. I look at Search Console and local demand first, then build a properly written Spanish page with its own language tag instead of relying on automatic translation.
I combine Search Console clicks, GA4 with consent-aware tagging, Business Profile call data and call tracking, so organic enquiries are counted even where cookies are limited.
I cannot promise a position, and anyone who does is guessing. What I can do is remove technical blockers, match pages to real searches, improve content and structure, and report honestly what moves in Search Console over the following months.
Technical fixes can change crawling and indexing within days or weeks, while rankings for competitive searches usually take several months and sometimes longer. I report trends monthly and tell you what is working, what is not and what I am unsure about.
A common pattern is one standing weekly call at a time that suits both sides, which for the US East coast is usually my evening, and rely on written updates, recorded walkthroughs and a shared board for the rest.
