Serving United States remotely

Website designer in United States

A US business pays a high price for every click, so its website has to turn that click into a call, a booking or a form, and has to hold up under scrutiny. I design and build such sites remotely from India, with call tracking that names the campaign, consent wording for calls and texts, accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA and a weekly update that suits an American calendar.

Based in India and working remotely: no office in United States, and video calls at times that suit you. The US spans several zones. Eastern is UTC-5 in winter and UTC-4 in summer (daylight saving runs from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November), which puts it 10 hours 30 minutes behind India in winter and 9 hours 30 minutes in summer. Central is 11:30 or 10:30 behind and Pacific 13:30 or 12:30 behind. So 9:00 Eastern is 19:30 or 18:30 for me, and 9:00 Pacific is 22:30 or 21:30. There is no shared office hour: calls fall in my evening or early morning, and I say so up front.

Website design and development for United States businesses

In the United States a website is also a legal surface. Accessibility complaints under the Americans with Disabilities Act are common and WCAG is the standard most often cited, so I build to WCAG 2.2 AA from the first wireframe: contrast, keyboard use, visible focus, labelled form fields and a logical heading order. An overlay widget does not replace that work, and I do not offer one as a fix. Privacy is the second surface. California's CCPA as amended by the CPRA and several other state laws shape cookie and tracking choices, and a medical practice that falls under HIPAA has to decide which form fields and tags may reach advertising platforms at all. I raise these points in the brief so that your lawyer or compliance lead can decide, instead of finding them after launch.

Service businesses such as roofers in Phoenix, HVAC firms in Dallas, law firms in Houston and med spas in Miami win or lose on the phone. I put click-to-call at the top of every page, use dynamic number swapping with a call-tracking provider so each call is tied to its campaign and keyword, and write the form so that consent to follow-up calls and texts is a clear, separate line in keeping with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Pages built for Local Services Ads and Google Business Profile visitors repeat the promise made in the listing and show the licence, insurance and review proof a homeowner looks for. Where your service area calls for it, in states such as Texas, Florida, California or New York, Spanish pages are written as separate pages, not an automatic translation.

The practical difference is the clock. Eastern time is 9 hours 30 minutes or 10 hours 30 minutes behind India depending on daylight saving, and Pacific is 12 hours 30 minutes or 13 hours 30 minutes behind, so a live call falls in my evening or very early morning. I work remotely from India and have no office in the United States. I have run campaigns for clients in the USA, mostly healthcare and service brands, so the rhythm is familiar: one standing call a week, a staging link at each stage, written updates and recorded walkthroughs, and build work that moves forward while your team sleeps. The scope and quote come in writing, and you own the site, the analytics and the ad accounts.

How projects there are usually paid
US businesses usually pay by ACH transfer, wire or card against an invoice, often on net-15 or net-30 terms. Sales tax in the US is set state by state and mostly applies to goods and some digital products, so a business normally asks its accountant whether it applies to a service. Local currency: USD.

Rules that apply
The California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA applies to many businesses that handle California residents' data, and other states, including Texas, Virginia and Colorado, have their own privacy laws.

Website designer in United States: questions

I build to WCAG 2.2 AA, which is the standard most often referred to in US accessibility claims, and test keyboard use, contrast and form labels. Your lawyer should still confirm what applies to your business.

A Pacific morning is my late evening or night, so we keep one standing weekly call at an agreed hour and cover the rest with written updates, recorded walkthroughs and a shared task board.

Yes. The form carries a clear, separate consent line for calls and texts, stores the wording and time of consent with the lead, and keeps it apart from the enquiry itself. Check the exact text with your lawyer.

Yes. I connect a call-tracking provider so each phone call is matched to the campaign or keyword that brought the visitor, and the call appears in analytics next to form and WhatsApp conversions.

A focused business website of five to ten pages usually takes three to five weeks from the signed brief, depending on how quickly content and feedback arrive. A custom application or a large catalogue takes longer, and I give a schedule with the quote.

Either. I use Next.js for speed and control, and WordPress or Shopify when you need an editor your team already knows or a store with ready-made features. I recommend the one that fits your content, budget and plans, and explain why.

A common pattern is one standing weekly call at a time that suits both sides, which for the US East coast is usually my evening, and rely on written updates, recorded walkthroughs and a shared board for the rest.

How the work runs

  1. 01

    Brief and audit

A call to learn the business, the visitor and the goal, plus an audit of any existing site and your current search and ad data.

  2. 02

    Structure and messaging

A page map, the wording of each headline and call to action, and a list of the proof you can show: reviews, results, certificates.

  3. 03

    Design

Phone-first layouts in your brand colours, reviewed with you on a staging link before any build effort is spent.

  4. 04

    Build

Fast, accessible pages with forms, tracking and SEO foundations built in, not added at the end.

  5. 05

    Test

Real-device checks, speed and accessibility testing, form and tracking tests with test data.

  6. 06

    Launch and hand over

Redirects, sitemap submission, a launch-day watch, a recorded walkthrough and written notes so you can run it.
